On January 27, 2020\u2013on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau\u2014a special exhibit \u201cSeeing Auschwitz\u201d premiered at the United Nations. I was lucky enough to be with Paul Salmons, its chief curator, as he walked a small group through his very moving exhibit. Now his tour can be shared with you. I was very surprised\u2014and also very honored\u2014to see photos from our \u201cEyes from the Ashes\u201d collection included in this small but important \u201cSeeing Auschwitz\u201d. **<\/p>\n

I think you\u2019ll be interested in hearing my esteemed colleague\u2019s focus on the humanity of the people, who became casualties of the Nazi regime. <\/p>\n

**Note: This small exhibit is quite different than the huge (and astounding) enormous exhibit, currently mounted at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, titled \u201cAuschwitz\u2014Not Long Ago, Not Far Away\u201d. Although this museum is currently closed and the extended run was due to close this August (because of the coronavirus), it has (thankfully) been extended once again. It will now be available for viewing until December 31, 2020.<\/p>\n
